Exactly how can you compare the two types of insulation? For example how many MM of neoprene is equal to 600 grams of thinsulate? Can you convert it

I believe a manufacture of boots once said that 3.5MM is equal to 200-400 grams of thinsulate, neoprene doesn't breath like thinsulate does so it will make you sweat.
I wouldn't buy thin neoprene also. It tears and gets holes easier than you think. I've gone through multiple pairs of thin neoprene waders duck hunting
