I just gained access to 40 acres untouched in 2 years. Was looking for some ideas of tree stands. Mainly just for discussion and the fun of it. It's the yellow circled area on the map.

I'd walk the creek and look for sign. Really, I'd walk the entire property and look for sign and maybe set up in the evening and watch the open fields that butt up to your property and look for deer. Or you could put a bunch of trail cameras up. If you do it now and don't make a bunch of commotion you shouldn't really spook the deer two much. If the place really hasn't had a human presence for two years the deer will be in there.
