i have a 32" draw and am in the market for a new bow. i am looking at bowtech (old glory) and hoyt trikon xl to name a few. any other suggestions. please nothing like "shoot mathews cause thats what i have always shoot". want some real pros and cons on these and any other bows yall suggest.

most important to me in no particular order: 32" draw, 80% let off, used only for hunting, no target or 3d here, i want a forgiving bow because i will hunt hogs stalking in south texas in 110 degrees shooting thru brush etc and treestands in illinois with snow on me in 15 degrees at goofy angles, very rugged and simple reliable, i fly with my bow every weekend of season and sometimes more. and suggestions guys and anything i didnt think about please tell me why you like a feature or not. or should i wait for what will be out in a few months. thanks.

Hoyt Protec with XT2000 limbs and Cam 1/2, DL goes to 32" get 80% modules

Alternatively

Hoyt Trykon XL with 32" DL Zephyr cams

Personally, I'd go with the Protec. Good Brace Height, Quality, Dependable, dealers everywhere.

I would shoot a bunch of the top bows going. And would buy the one I liked the best. I would also stay with a major selling brand that has a lot of dealers. Just in case I needed a part or repair while on the road. WDO

Both of those bows are top performers and would be an excellent choice for you. Personally, I'd choose the Old Glory, as I'm a big fan of the 2006 Binary cams, their options, adjustability, their speed, the dead solid back wall and they are very easy on cable and string servings. I also think Bowtech factory strings are TOP NOTCH... pre-stretched 452x.... VERY... VERY nice. I've hear alot of people complaining about the new Fuse strings on the Trykon and it's cams chewing up cables, but I have no first hand experience with it.

I'd give the Hoyt the nod on their limb durability and the FINE bow grip.

I've shot both and feel that the shock/recoil at the shot is about the same and they are both really quiet.

I hope this helps.I think you won't go wrong with either bow.... enjoy... and post up pix of your new rig when you get her put togther.

If you really have a 32" draw and are looking for a hunting bow only then the Mathews Switchback LD (Long Draw) might be a logical choice. It's 33" A to A, has a 9 inch brace height (more forgiving) and is smooth and shock free just like the other Switchback models. I'm not advising you to get a Mathews because I shoot them. It's just a good bow for someone with a longer draw than 30". Depending on the weight of your arrow, it should give you really good speeds through the chrono because of the 32 " draw you are looking for.
