New Product Development Tips

1377 4
Of the millions of hunters nation-wide, thousands of them develop new products related to their sport. I'm setting out to write a series of blogs with tips for developing new products. I've learned a few lessons through the school of hard knocks--maybe this will help others avoid those mistakes. If you have experience developing new products, please pass along a tip or mistake you made, and I'll include it in the blogs. Here are a few possible subjects: taking on partners, hiring a patent attorney, borrowing money, manufacturing, trade shows, inventory, creating a website, etc. Thanks!

Is this thread DEAD?
Looks like it may be.
One reason if you are developing a product you dont have much time to post all of your stuff. And sometimes you dont want your competitors to know just how you operate your business.
I can tell you it aint easy unless you have a few million of your own money to spend.
One thing I will add is it is easier to market and sell a new and improved product VS a totally new way of doing something in most cases.
