I am looking at buying a back tension release. Don't really know much about quality and what to look for in them, but I shot a Scott Longhorn 3 and liked it. So something like that. Any information or comments you might have would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

There is no short answer to that. The LH would be fine and if you already like it -- go for it. You can try others if you have a chance. Most shooters rotate releases so just consider the LH another tool in your quiver.

The Longhorn was too large for me. It's a fine release; but it was just too big for my hand. I'm still using several Zeniths as well as some Carters. The Scott operates on the same principle as all the other BTs. If the handle feels good in your hand; go ahead and use the Scott Longhorn. All of them are good; if you put in the time to use them correctly; you'll see your archery improve.
