I am interested in longbow archery, but fail to find much about it that's useful info on the web. Anyone have any great sites that give tips, tricks and lessons. There's ZERO in my area of residence right now. Please help.

Seeing that no one else has posted …

I have started to shoot with a Bob Lee Stick 36# at 3D shoots. Have you used any bow before? Do you have a longbow? Looking for a longbow? An english longbow? or what I call a modern longbow? Are you interested in field archery, 3D archery, …?

A book that you might consider getting is "Become the Arrow" by Byron Ferguson.

Websites and webpages you might want to check:

North Carolina Bowhunters Association http://www.ncbowhunter.com Perhaps they could help you locate a pro shop, archery club, or a rod and gun club that has archery events.

Carolina Traditional Archers www.carolinatraditional.com/index.html

North Carolina Traditional Championship sponsored by Carolina Traditional Archers in Hickory, NC www.carolinatraditional.com/Archery Championship.html

I found an article about the “Hickory shoot” at www.shelbystar.com/sportsarchive/_disc4/00000a0e.htm

If the shoot is as much fun as the events in New England, maybe someday hubby and I will get there.

Pat

BTW, where are you? I have a brother near Charlotte, NC.
