Can anyone tell me how many turns I can safely back out the limbs on my Newberry Sabre? I usually let the pro shop guy do everything, but if I don't start learning to do the easy stuff myself, I never will....Thanks in advance...

I did a test awhile back on one of my Newberry's just to see how far I could back them out before the limbs came off. It took 16 or 17, I don't remember for sure. I wouldn't go more than 14 turns. That has always worked for me. Good luck. Newmerry bows make it easy to do the work yourself.

You can safely back the bolts all the way out on a Newberry. There is no need for a bowpress on these bows. Just back each bolt out a couple of turns at a time until the string and cables loosen up.
Just don't more than 14 turns if you want the limbs to stay in the pockets. :darkbeer:
