My new Martin Hunter bow has just arrived and it came with the "traditional arrow rest" which consists of a small strip of leather about 1/8" thick and wide, by 1" long, and then another piece of soft leather about 1" by 2".

At the risk of sounding totally stupid when it comes to archery... how do I install it?

The directions came with a small photo of how to install it, but it's so dark I can't tell exactly how each piece goes on the bow. Since it has sticky backing, I don't want to install it wrong.

Thanks in advance for any pointers

It's the "elevation pad" that I'm not sure about.

I'm assuming it runs side to side on the center portion of the arrow shelf?

If it's too long for that, do you cut off any extra, or does the extra go up the side of the site window?

Hope all that makes sense. :)
