I'm dumb enough that I just found out that my strings that I have on my supra don't have serving where it passes through the cable guard area!! I received the bow off of here and it came with threads strings and they don't have any serving!

thier is no cable slide serving...not on any of my stuff anyways

Really? THeres no wear on them so its fine without them but usually people have them on there i believe

Most bows do not have any serving where the cables go through the slide. This is normal. Roller guards are served

Of mine that use slides, there's no serving in that area.

ran my latest string for 3 seasons before changing it out and no wear if you keep them waxed up good, serving would create drag there breing the serving goes sideways on the string...opposite of its movement, so would create drag in the slide
