Last spring I ordered the North Starr Tree Cat Archer climbing tree stand. I really like how it works, but the belts that wrap around the tree smell terrible. I have tried scent elimination products, and it has set outside for over a month all to no avail. Has anyone had this experience and, if so, what worked?

I have one too .

I honestly have no odor coming from mine that is noticable.Is it breaking down ? Be careful what chemicals you put on it,water based only.Have you contacted North Starr ? Sorry I can't help,I'll check mine this weekend and let you know.

Rubber no problem?

The folks at North Starr stated that since deer are not spooked by the smell of rubber, there should be no problem. The smeel is strong, though and I am skepticle. Thanks for the reply!
