Friend bought a used octane stab for his son and wants to change the inner red color tube with green sticker material and was wondering if anyone took one apart and is it a hassle to remove the tube and reassemble? Thanks..

Mine came apart really hard. The holes drilled in the side of the collars will take a 1/4 inch round pin and you should be able to unscrew the ends. I bent two 1/4 inch drill bits trying to remove mine. I ended up using 2 wrenches to take mine apart which marked the finish. This was not a problem for me because I was changing the color of the ends to match the bronze on my Air Raid.
