I've seen some nice ones in Ohio. Tons of crossbow hunters will be out those weeks...

Deer harvest by county

Crossbows have been legal since 1976 in Ohio. I can honestly say that I have only run into a few crossbow hunters in the past 30 years. Not been a big deal to me at all. Now that I am a crossbow hunter, I'm seeing a lot of hate for very little reason. After over 45 years of crossbow hunting, Ohio is #5 in the best states for whitetail and some still like to put in their digs and complain. SMH

The total deer harvest in 2021 was 197,000. The last 3-year average has been 184,000 in Ohio. There ought to be a couple of deer out there to give anyone a chance if they find a good area and have the patience. :)
