Well, I went to Greg and Willie at Olde English last Friday to replace my Z-7 with a New Bowtech Destroyer 340. From the minute I arrived I was treated like a king! Greg spent hours setting up my new bow...papertuning etc... I didn't have much time to practice this week...DANG AIR FORCE WORKING ME TO DEATH...NEW TIME ETC...
Anyway, I hit the woods with my New Destroyer this morning...Saw my first respectable Ohio Buck of this year at 35 yards Quartering away...I was plenty nervous when I settled the Pin...LONG SHOT FOR A RAGE AT 60 POUNDS! Well Greg was right...it's all about how smooth bow shoots and arrow hits...400 gr Arrow punched through both sides!!!
Here is my day:Finally an Ohio Buck Down! Not a Monster but a Nice 2 Year Old. The Rage did it's job...75 yard Fire Hose Blood Trail! Saw one Nice Buck crossing Cut Corn Field at Daylight...disappeared at 100 yards and never reappeared! Then at 8:10, here comes Fatty 5 Point...He is Wide and Tall I took him for an 8 Pt, but I didn't have much time...he had very large body and huge neck! Check station said 1.5 to 2.5 years old? Anyway, he goes by at 50 yards on way to same cut field...I reach for Can Call, turn it over twice...DID SOMEONE PULL A STRING? Here he comes at 25 yards he thinks something isn't right...NO DOE??? He starts angling for the field again...at 35 yards I send a Rage through his vitals and he hauls butt! I hear him fall in 30 seconds! Anyone could follow that Blood Trail!
Well, Not as Big as my Illinois Giant, but a very great day!
Anyway, if you live or travel through Southern Ohio (Dayton/Vandalia) don't hesitate to give Olde English Archery a shot at your business...you won't be disappointed!
