Just putting this here in case you want to update your older PSE bow. This is the second bow setup (have a fullthrottle with evolve cams made 5 years ago sourcing parts) and the first bow has thousands of shot on it and on its 3rd set of strings.
My friend brought me his 2017 Carbon air with a broken string and broken bottom cam (suspect dry fire). Well unfortunately they do not sell the cams for this as expected. But the good is that the 981 70lb limbs are good with no splintering.
Talking with my local proshop and PSE support on three way call. It turns out you can order an “upgrade” kit for a 981 limb bows with an ATA of 31 to 32”. Comes with both cams, modules high let off only, axles, spacer/shim, clips and a 5 string kit. Cons is that you will loose a couple fps. Pros is that you have newer cams.
Kits pretty well setup, you take the bow apart (after labeling all limb positions) and clean everything and add new grease and reinstall the limbs. The new axles, spacers and cams all slide on. The kit has alot of extra spacers so you can shim / align the cams as needed to get your bullet hole thru paper. I set the cams to be far LH as this is how the old cams were also shimmed both Top/bottom. Using a caliper I kept the same limb spacing from the limb pockets to inbetween the axles, there still plenty of spacers to get this within .0005”.
The new string install is pretty straight forward. Left it in the vice for 30 minutes and put it in the draw board. The cams were both timed. I also installed a blade rest and timed the launcher while on the board. The cams in position “A” measured out to a 30.25” draw length. Lucky for me the persons DL is 30.5” so will see how this ends up. Set it up at 60lbs DW and the hold back weight is 11.5lbs as noted on the scale. The draw is pretty smooth though the cycle with a dump into the stops. Total ATA is 31.25” (oem is 31.50”) brace height is the same as oem at 6.125”
Put this in the hooter shooter and a 445grain 300 spine arrow is showing 273fps average. Slight nock high tear but will sort it out once my friend pick the bow up and he shoots it thru paper. Well heres some pics and if you want some info, let me know. Just dont discard them older PSEs. They still got it.

What was the kits part number so we can order and could you share the price? Also, are they 3/8" or 1/4" cams.
Ches.

They are 3/16" bearings, not 3/8". But yes, you should be able to replace the 3/16" bearings with 1/4" bearings. I already have 1/4" bearings to replace the Full Throttle 3/16" cam bearings so I can use them on a carbon MACH FT Frankenbow using 98x limbs with 1/4" axle holes.
