I work in a rendering factory quite a bit. These boots are the most awful smelling things in the world plus the clothes. I might buy one just to keep my work stuff and car from not smelling like a rendering plant.

 

A regular boot dryer will do the same thing, plus it will dry your boots. Imagine that.

Yes, but most rubber boots have an interior liner and cushioning (which is where the odor collects)...so you dont want to expose them to too much ozone or for too long.

yep i spray some dead down wind all over and inside the boots then put on a boot dryer and no more smell and my boots get so bad sometimes i take them off and can smell them myself a couple feet away.

 

I was very skeptical about ozone but I decided to buy a scent crusher ozone bag and I was delighted at the results . I had more down wind encounters that I was sure I was busted and they smelled the ozone but never smelled me . Put my 17 yr old grandsons tennis shoes in it when I first got it they smelled rank but after 2 30 minute cycles the odor was gone . Very impressive . One of the best benefits is u don't have to wash your clothes very often , but u do have to be careful with hunting clothes with elastic in them . I would wash my clothes in the ozone bag for 10 minutes after every hunt and would wash them in between hunts for another 10-15 minutes . Works great !

 

Yep, ozone is awesome for eliminating odors in a controlled/sealed environment. Comparing ozone to a boot dryer is nonsense

 

Have to use the boot dryer religiously from the first time you wear the boots to the last. Once they get the funk, I've never seen anything that will unfunk them so good to know there is a viable option out there that can help.

 

Heavy amounts of ozone can and will do damage to rubber and elastic. This ozone generator can be set up for a 1 hour or 3 hour use and it produces a lesser amount so as to not do as much damage and still remove odor from anything from boots to dog beds. I hear they are great for removing the odor of cigarettes in cars. $90 seemed to be a fair price to me for what it does.:wink:

 

you could also fix that for about 5 bucks at your local cvs, buying carbon insoles

 

Scent Crusher sells a boot dry with the ozone unit for 80 bucks. Scent crusher has done a lot of research to make their products produce the correct amount of ozone to now damage your hunting gear. They worked with NASA engineers to produce their machines.

 

Their products still damage your hunting gear. All kinds of threads about them ruining suspenders on Sitka bibs.

And NASA? Really? Looks like they just took a pre-existing product and did a little rebranding...
