If you could only choose one state to hunt the rest of your life, which would it be.

Keep in mind, this would mean you could not travel and hunt another state...ever.

Which would you choose?

Ps. Poll coming, but, it will take a while to generate. :)

I chose IA !!!!!!

I like it here for hunting and if I had to say I could only hunt one place it would have to be the Hawkeye state! However I move alot and plan on retiring in TX so go figure:wink:

For me...it would have to be Colorado, my adopted home state.

Tons of big game species with OTC elk, decent deer odds (whitetail and mulie) antelope, turkey....what else can you ask for?

For me it is Louisiana. We may not have the biggest deer, but we have alot of them. Throw in hundreds of thousands of acres of public land with unmatched fishing along with a whole list of other animals to hunt and it is unbeatable to me. Here you can get a license to fish or hunt anything that lives here or off the coast for around $120 with the federal stamps. Can't beat that for the poor guy. Also, you can get a lifetime hunting and fishing license for way less that some of ya'll pay for one year in tag fees.

I chose Montana. I've never been there, but it in books and pictures it looks like some wild country.

Mn

I said my home State of Minnesota.

Mainly because I like to get out as much as possible and my job and home is here.

Also, because I do alot of "surf and turf" (aka;fish and hunt trips) and MN is great fishing.

What is with all the votes for Iowa?

Am I missing something or do people in that state know how to keep a secret? :noidea:

COLORADO! Easiest question I've been asked all day.

What CAN'T you hunt in Colorado? That's a better question!

Dall sheep, stone sheep, coues deer, either blacktail, grizzly (yet), wolf (yet), Alaskan-Yukon moose, none of the caribou, or alligators (at least not legally). :)
