I use to have a Carter Attraction which was an open jaw, I loved it, but the only thing I had problems with was some d-loop material was too thick and would cause the jaw to slip off while drawing... The end result was punching myself in the face... I now switched to the Carter Simple 1 with a closed jaw and that thing is just all around awesome... In other words I prefer the closed jaw.

So closed jaw means the clip wraps right around, as opposed to 3/4 the way?

Open jaw with the closed you are always screwing around trying to load, or hunting have to leave it on the string & if you happen to bump the trigger your release is on the ground. Been shooting open for over 30+ years & have not had one slip off yet. Sounds like operator error.
