Opinion on America's Best Bowstring

I used these strings in 2015. It's the least amount of stretch I've ever dealt with. I've shot GAS, Winner's Choice, and Prime Factory Strings since and they've all stretched a ton. String companies have a tendency to go down hill as they grow and I was wondering if they still make a good string. I'd love to hear some feedback if anyone has used them in the last year. Thanks.

Just took a set of premium off my Revolt X to go with a different color. Had some serving separation around the Cam's.
Put a set of Archery Shake strings on about 2 months ago have at least a thousand shots through it they seem great with no serving separation.
I don't think ABB worth the extra money just my $0.02

They are fine they are just over priced IMO. It was $160 for the platinum set for my logic and catfish customs was $100 for a set of equal or better quality. No brainer for me. A lot of pro shops work with America’s best so they are able to jack the prices up because your average joe doesn’t do the research for alternatives...just drops it at the pro shop and rolls.

So....sponsoring shooters, paying contingency, paying more employees, probably health benefits for those some of those employees, and giving back to the industry makes them over priced? When you compare that to a smaller more independent company that probably doesn’t have the same overhead costs and probably doesn’t put as much money back into the industry, I have a hard time seeing that as being over priced. Don’t get me wrong, Catfish makes a great string but it’s a whole different animal. If someone can’t afford the prices from bigger companies, that’s fine but they aren’t over priced in the sense you’re saying.

Amish made, quality strings. I had a problem on a new PSE that came with them. Called them up, they sent me a new set of strings no questions asked. They are a little on the more expensive side, but I never had any other problems with them. Any string can have problems, but the better makers take care of it. Now you will probably get 100 opinions of the "best" strings, some are great, some are being pushed by factory sponsored shooters, but ABB strings are decent.

Defining what it is that makes a string quality, or what makes it worth buying is a topic that will get you into some internet discission for sure.

If one company uses a certain bcy material, and another company uses the same bcy material, what is it that makes one better, or more valuable than another?

If you own a large number of bows, and you end up buying aftermarket string sets for yhose bows regularly, you will form an opinion.

If you own one bow, and replace strings rarely, you will likely form a different opinion.

Based on the number of string makers you try out, and how often you replace strings.

Americas best builds a great string.

Just put my most recent set of ABB Platinums on. After about 400 shots needed two twists in each cable. String rock solid. Stretch in cables was even and consistent and they are now set I believe. Really good product. I also agree with the post that talked about supporting companies that support the industry. If I pay $50 more for this product and most of that goes back into tournaments, shooters, and living wages for employees I’m all in.

They are good strings, but like others have said, they are not cheap. My favorite strings are JBK, good prices, good product. I know there are several other great small string makers, but I cannot comment on them all.

I had ABB on my rx-1 and liked them... no complaints. I’m hesitant to buy them with other great small companies, winner’s choice made me nervous about good companies getting big and quality tanking... hopefully ABB doesn’t follow that path, but I am more confident in a smaller business making my strings

I just took off a set of ABB Platinum Strings off my Evolve That I got almost 3 years out of and many thousands of shots. I've had great luck and performance from them on my last two bows. Not a single issue that a twist in the cables couldn't take care of. No serving issues or timing problems either. My local shop builds their own now and I decided to give them a try or I'd have another set on right now.

I've owned several sets of their Platinum strings and they have all been perfect! Rock solid stability, no peep rotation, and no serving separation. I haven't bought a set in the last year.
