I am looking for opinions on that cut off saw from harbor freight. For the people that use it, does it hold up? Cut fairly square? I am looking to buy a saw and if I can save a buck on this I will make my own platform. I always use the G5 tool to square up my arrows anyways.

I have used one for a couple of years now. The only thing I changed was to go to a carbon blade instead of the one that comes with the saw. Although I don't go thru that many arrows I have found the saw works well. It seems to work best when you rotate the shaft as you cut. You get onto the technique very quickly. It cuts square, with little burring with the carbon blade. If you were going thru a lot of arrows I don't think it would be the best buy. However, for the average archer it does very well.

I built a similar setup to what you are talking about. All I can say is it works great and I saved alot of money. I have cut a ton of arrows with it and never had a problem.
