Take a hard look at your serving thread and the string in general. Most times on a dry fire the serving thread will fray in may areas usually along the cam. Check this area out thoroughly. In fact to be on the safe side you may want to replace the string and cable anyway. Also check your limbs and limb pockets over well to see for any hairline cracks. Listen for any unusual cracks. Check for any cracks in the cam or also in the notch where the cam sets and the connection of the cam and the limb. Just say no to CRACK.

Or perhaps he fell into a crack or got stuck in a crack or liked that particular crack! No wisecrack intended! :D
