OK so I'm full time college student on my way to graduating with a Technology Education Bachelor degree at the end of next fall, I try to incorporate hunting anywhere I can in my assignments. So when we were given a design challenge in my manufacturing class I couldn't help myself.
The Challenge was:
~every group had to create their own company and design a product that they could sell.
~it had to fit in a 12"x12"x12" package maximum
~had to cost less than $15 per unit
~had to be completed by the end of the semester.
After some brainstorming we focused it down to a turkey call b/c it was cheap enough, easy enough, and spring gobbler was at the end of the semester so it would be an easier sell.
We decided on our company name:Timber Oak
the product name would be: Longbeards' Delight.
The pot and sound board are made from cherry, the striker is made from hickory, and the slate we bought from http://brooksidegamecalls.com/.
