I'm considering starting an outdoors business and have no idea where to start. Other than land/building costs, what kind of startup costs ballpark am I looking at for merchandise? I know this varies from what I stock and how much etc. but is there any help anyone can offer? Also do you have other seasonal sales during the non hunting months to keep things going? Thanks for any help/advice you can offer

I just opened my shop this year and started with 100k.
Make sure you can get accounts with the bow company's BEFORE you open or find a location.
Have an indoor range.
Cater to those that shoot year round not just hunters or you won't last long.
If there is not a large target archery crowd in your area it will be tough.
You can try and increase this by hosting small tournaments in your indoor and at your local clubs.
Good luck.

Thanks for the reply. Target archery is picking up here but there is really only one place to shoot. I'm hoping by finding a location in a bordering county or opposite end of our county it can still make it
