Yeah they have an HD outdoor channel?
Outdoor Channel in HD???
I just purchased a new house, then purchased a flat panel TV and then got HD on DIsh network. I thought "Man, hunting will look suuuweeet on this thing" . All channels i get are HD EXCEPT the outdoor channel and they said it was not available in HD, but when the programs are on they say "brought to you in stunning HD but you can clearly see they are not in it. Its day and night difference since its not. Can you all get the outdoor channel in HD?

I can't get the outdoor channel in hd through dish network,but my in-laws get it through cable.

I have Verizon FIOS with all available HD channels. Therefore, I have the Outdoor Channel in HD. It is awesome.

The outdoor channel definitely leaves their facility in HD, what dish does with it when they receive it is another question though. As of right now, to my knowledge, Dish is downconverting Outdoor HD and not offering it as HD. Whether that changes in the future is up to Dish.
Andy, fyi, dish may be receiving your locals in HD, but by the time they compress it to get it back to Cheyenne, and then compress it again to get it up on the bird....you are correct, it does not look HD anymore. For the locals if you can receive them over the air with an antenna you will get a better HD picture than you do through dish.
