I have ran into a good deal on a Ozonics unit and all the accessories. Just want to hear from users if these things live up to the hype Ive read an "seen on tv"

Couple people I have talked to say it helps. The right setup is key. Also said that the absence of smell created by ozone has been known to "spook" deer or put them on alert. Which makes me iffy about it. May just use it in a dry wash bag and not carry in field.

I also have a young son who will begin to hunt in the upcoming years so we will be blind hunting the early season. My thought was to get one for that so in the case we do have a mature deer come in on a down wind side. Cause anyone who has kids know the stink 😄

Have seen it work quite well in a blind, in the open air it is much less effective, though I am pretty sure it saved my but last Nov. Had a group of does go by early and get down wind, one at a time they locked up in the same place and test the air, luckily none ever blew or spooked, just drifted off, I turned around to see a good buck following a doe right into the pinch point I was in, killed him a couple minutes after!

If you have the money, they are absolutely worth it. In my experience they will buy you time. Usually about 1 minute. But deer and hogs have insane noses and will likely know something is up after about a minute and they will still spook, but not as bad or as quickly as they do without ozonics. Just be careful when you’re in a blind not to breathe in a bunch of it, make sure it’s pointed out the window and you can’t smell it.

I don't use one in the tree but I do treat my clothes with a $40 ozone generator prior to going to the woods. It does remove odors very well but Ozone also has a smell. It's made a difference in what I can get away with these days. I hunt in an area where playing the wind doesn't really work because the hills and valleys make the direction change by the hour.

It’s impossible for ozone to have any appreciable impact on human scent, in an open air environment, as it pertains to a deers olfactory system.
Just ask someone that...A, understands how ozone works and B, someone that works with ozone on a regular basis.

In a blind, yep.
On cloths, yep(but any gains are instantly reversed the moment the clothes are worn again)
In an open air environment, not a chance.

For every time an ozonics user says....but, I had deer directly down wind, and nothing- a non-ozonics user has had the exact same thing happen to them(including myself).

The placebo effect, is very powerful.

I borrowed the ones I used, no placebo at all, in calm condition's in the open it works, I have been winded more times than I would ever care to count, and when you watch deer hit your scent stream, get a little nervous and then go on about there business with out blowing up the woods it is obvious what happened!

I have been through the ringer with scent control for 25 years, nothing had worked like the ozone, i even used to wear 3 layers of scent lock/blocker clothing and was no go for me, maybe I stink worse than others that have had good results?

We have an ozone room at camp so all boots and gear stay scent free which I believe is a huge factor, but the machine works in the right situations!
