I bought an Ozonics HR 300 before deer season this year. I like the scent protection but am not happy with the noise. Not noise that the animals hear but with the unit mounted above me i have trouble hearing over the fan noise. Just curious if anyone else has had this issue and if so what is the solution.

Run upside down. The quick connect is long and holds the unit well, I have flipped mine upside down and it sends the fan noise up instead of down toward you. They have done tests and the sound does not scare deer, but I do agree. On quiet calm nights my Orion hr400 does sound louder than I'd expect. But the results are worth it, I've had more deer down wind of me and not spook than ever before

It’s louder than a pc fan, and not much better turned upside down. Plus having it upside down takes away any protection from moisture and the elements. I love the sound of nature while on stand. The ozonics units take that away.

That is why I got rid of mine. Can't stand that noise. Took a lot of the fun and peace out of hunting.

Sometimes I hear mine but I don't think it's that loud. But then I'm half deaf.
