my dad had/has one. Great bow at the time. I always loved to shoot it. Don't know if that answers any questions. He never painted it, just used camo tape. Too pretty to paint he said.
painting an old bow?
A friend has an old Martin Cougar 11. The bow is in pretty good shape with the exception of a few paint chips on the riser.
Should he disassemble the bow to repair the riser or leave it be. I'm not sure if this bow has any historical archery value.

You might as well paint it if you like it.
Used archery equipment has horrible resale value.
