The actual nock travel is a primary function of the cam design and to a much lesser degree the individual limbs (are they matched) not much you can do to alter what the bow design produces.
If its a dual cam bow a draw board would be vey helpfull to time cams, if you also have a digital force gage you will be able to really get those cams dead nuts.
