peep sight position

When full draw is reached should the peep sight automatically be where you can look through it, or is it normal to have to "search" for it. I've been meaning to ask this for a while since thats what I have to do everytime, move my head a bit to find it.

It should automatically be in position. The best way to set your peep is to install the peep (or have someone install it for you). Don't tie it in at first. Draw the bow with your eyes closed and come to full draw and anchor where you are most comfortable. Then open your eyes and see where the peep needs to go. Make adjustments accordingly and repeat the process until it is where it needs to be. Once you get the peep set so that you can anchor with your eyes closed and then open your eyes and be able to see clearly through the peep tie in the peep. JW
Do this while sighting at a target that is approximately the average yardage you will be shooting, if the target is on the ground.

Will changing the peep position change the point of impact of my arrows? I was going to spend a lot of time today setting up my sight and figuring out an anchor point with my thumb release. Should I just wait until I get my peep setup first?
Yep it will change... you need to det the peep first.
