Specialty Archery peep where you can change aperture size with out needing a bow press.

 

I have the Speciality Archery peeps in all of my bows. For target I am mainly using the new PXS target peep with the 1/8th apature.

 

Specialty is great. Run them in 5 out of 5 bows. Hamskea makes something similar.

 

Specialty or Hamskea Raptor. I've used both, like both, and still have a Raptor on my primary bow. They're a little heavier than a standard peep but ironically quiet the string down some.

 

Hamskea. No question. Their baffling is really nice.

 

I've used both Hamskea Raptor and Total Peeps. Both are great, but i personally prefer the Total Peep. However I think you'd be happy with either.

 

Hamskea Raptor for me, but I haven’t tried either of the others so can’t tell I you it’s better.

Just switched to a 1/4” Raptor peep on both my bows, I love it. Using 2” housings on my sights as well.

 

I haven't tried the others, but I have a Raptor peep on my current setup and plan to continue using them on any bows I buy in the future. Unless I have to get a verifier (or clarifier, I forget which is which) cuz my target tends to get a little blurry out past 50 yds or so

Elongated peep I think will be more of a problem than help.

 

I ran a Total Peep for a few years, and currently a Raptor… like em both. But after a few years I had some string twist issues with the Total Peep that I just could not resolve, so I put it on the shelf for now. Once I get a new string I wouldn’t hesitate to try it again, but in my experience the bigger the peep the trickier perfect alignment is. I tie the peeps in tight but I don’t cinch the ends of the peep string split diamond any more, that helps somewhat with twist.

 

I tried a Raptor for a while and ended up going back to the trusty RAD Super Deuce. Raptor is big and bulky, and if your peep is twisted at all at full draw it shows up a lot more than with a non-tubular type peep. Also the longer peeps like that suck in low light, so for hunting, not ideal.

 

So I had a hamskea raptor peep. Well worth the money imo. Right now have a rad super deuce and which still does the job but the sight picture for me was clearer for some reason with the raptor peep.

 

I like the hamskea raptor peep, I use mainly the 3/16.
