Im looking for picture to figure out where the thumb trigger is best lcated. Im having trouble getting the trail boss to go off consistently.

Not sure if its due to the position of the thumb trigger or my shooting style. I think im tensing my release hand to much to get a perfect balance of pessure in my hand rather thn just anchoring/relaxing.

So anyoen out their have a pic of where the button is positioned in your hand?

So is our thumb actually touching your index finger? Looks like the thumb button is set pn the first joint of your thumb? Am i correct?

index and thumb touching, like making an "O", and this is just my style of shooting wherein i find it more consistent since those are my reference points with reference to the fingers holding the release, aside from index and thumb knuckles under te jaw bone...and i do not squeeze the thumb peg, i just retract my shoulder blade (anchor side) to initiate firing of the release, i am not a pro but this style just works for me....hope N&B can contribute more...

Do you find that with a straight elbow ou pull left right when you do miss?

As opposed to a slightly raised release shoulder?

Thanks for you input!

You do not want a slightly raised release shoulder.

Send a pm to drtnshtr. He had a very raised release shoulder and shot this way for years. drtnshtr now has his release shoulder pulled down solid.

His elbow is slightly higher than the arrow, and that's how he likes to be,
but he has now mastered what epsayo is talking about.

Squeezing through the shot. No pulling with the arms.
Squeeze the back muscles while at full draw,
and at the same time, relax the arm muscles
relax the upper arm, relax the forearm holding the release.

No squeezing the trigger finger.
No squeezing the release hand "claw"
The release hand is just a claw

The entire release hand, the release wrist,
the release forearm, the release upper arm
are all frozen together, loose and rubbery...

The only muscles that work are the ones in
the middle of your back.

Squeeze the middle back muscles
and the release side elbow will move back
behind your head in a horizontal line.

Be patient, and keep squeezing the back muscles
and then the movement of the elbow
will cause the release to fire.

drtnshtr can explain this better in his own words.

Send him a pm.

Thanks guys!

I believe my problem may be a tene release hand. As far as which fingers see more pressure on the release hand what is best? Should the index see more pressure and hen the pressure rolls on the the rest of the hand on the follow through?'

I have all day tomorrow to see what works so any info is greatlyappreciated.
