Well, I finally got into the field in my plot in Southern Minnesota over the weekend, and we are getting rain tonight :D

I planted Corn and soybeans (same as last year) after applying and working in some fertilizer last weekend. The corn and beans came up nice last year (although the corn wasn't extremely tall, it had lots of nice cobs on it). The deer and turkeys didn't hit it much last fall, but once the snow fell, they pretty much destroyed it.

My buddy mowed down the corn stalks earlier this spring, and I worked it up with my ATV and pull behind disc last weekend (and again just before I planted).

Enjoy the pics! (sorry, they are from my cell)

John

And here is the 2 row planter that I rented from a guy here in the twin cities (I filled one hopper with corn, and the other with Beans). It worked really slick behind the ATV
