I have a Bowmaster I am very comfortable using, although I always put a sock or some cushioning between the cable and the V in the limb, just so the cable has no chance of digging into the limb. Saved a hunt onetime too.

You get pieces of thick leather with the press just for that.

I just used one to change mt strings.Worked good ,but I got alittle nervous cranking all the way.

I love the idea of having one in a pack for hunting with another string ready..
But wow those things make me nervous just reading about them....:embara: Nothing wrong with using them...But I couldn't do it.

Another one for bowmaster. One tip that I can give is to use a ratchet to crank the cable, much easier this way.

Never a problem after several years and many bows....Theres nothing you can't do with it plus you can take it with you..... Bowmaster is a excellent product
