I will be hunting up in Ks. around Thanksgiving, and I think I will miss the rut. What are some good ways to attract bucks after the peak of the rut and main breeding time?

i like to do a little bit of rattling with some doe in heat scent put out in the post rut near a good food source.the bucks are tired and week from running does for a couple weeks, and need food to get there energy level back up for the winter.and there are some stray bucks that dont want to believe that that rut is winding down, and will still respond to rattling and some periodic grunting.and want to get that last doe tended to before its all over. Good Luck !!!!!!!

several things affect this factor one is Buck to doe ratio more does you have the longer buck will be busy.
the more bucks the longer the buck will be competing fir breeding rights.
But yeah here in Kansas you will be hunting the tail end if the rut.
good luck you'll need to try every trick in the bag scent burners, rattling, decoying, or whatever you can I dont thing anybody can put a finger on a sure fire way to bag a deer any time of year.
