Mowed my food plots last week. Fertilized them today. Here are a few pictures of them. This is their first full year. Planted last fall and reseeded this February.

We have had a very cool and wet spring. It has been perfect for my new growth. Last month we had over 7 inches of rain. 3 inches above average.

I do a ladino white, sweet yellow, crimson and yuchi arrowleaf mix. Gets some strong interest most of the year by the deer here.

The only time I have seen them avoid clover in preference to something else is when it is too tall. If it gets over 8 inches it isn't as palpable. You should be good to go.

Mature Crimson clover is beautiful in the spring too. This is some my Dad planted 3 years ago. He just lets it reseed itself.

Looks awesome! Is you bottom picture Soybeans? I also noticed the turnips. Deer don't eat them her until February it doesn't get cold enough here until its too late.

the plot is on its 2nd year of growth

I also have a turnip plot, but have not planted that one yet. Last year the turnips were a huge hit from November to January. Its like a magnet!
