I was curious is you can have a riser poweder coated? Will the 400 degree heat have any effect on the Riser other than the obvious sticker or emblems..

I want my riser black but im a terible painter and want something better than a rattle can finish.. I've looked at some companys that do custom dipping but none offer black.. any suggestions?

I've had several risers powdercoated...it's a pretty common thing here on AT. I believe Jim Posten does powdercoating, and lee martin does a ceramic coating that also looks really nice.

Most of the ones that are colored from the factory are powder coated.

Check out Lee Martin here on AT. He does great work and is affordable. He is also doing some of New Breed Archery's bow colors. Be sure and check some of his most recent work. There are some great pics showing his attention to detail.
