I have a question for all of you. I have some stuff I would like to make sure it is as scent free as possible for season.
First of all my boots. I was planning on getting a new pair of rubber boots for season this year, but after failing to resist the urge to buy some scentlok gear, I am short on funds. Well, I used my old boots for chores around the house on the off season. So I would like to descent them as much as possible and then seal them up in a container for season. I was wondering what you all would recommend to do that? I was thinking about washing them up with water and my scent free detergent, and then maybe scrubbing them with a baking soda solution. What do you think about that?
Secondly, My viper treestand has been hanging in my attic for for offseason. Trying to keep it away from pets and kids and other smelly smells. I would like to descent that if possible. I can imagine with the cushioning and arm pads that it could trap smell pretty well. Anyone have any suggestions for cleaning that? After I get that clean, I think I will store that in a garbage bag or something when I am not using it.
Maybe I am being paranoid. Just after my first good buck this year, so I am trying to take as many precautions as possible within reason and my budget. Don't want all my scouting and offseason work to go to waste. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
