Prepping wraps?

After removing old vains, I normally clean the shaft with isopropyl alcohol when fletching directly to the shaft. I'm going to start using wraps, should I do anything different?

does anybody do anything to the wrap itself before putting the fletch on? i have been just wiping them with water. I have noticed that even the glue will make the wraps smudge. I have also noticed that the glue does not set as fast when using the wraps compared to raw carbon shafts. anyone else?
