Hey all,
I picked up a Primos "The Lil Can" dow bleat call the other day. They were marked down to $4.97

I have never used any call or attractant scent before. Looking to generate a little action this year if nothing is going on and though this would be the simplest call to get started.

Can someone give me some pointers and rules of thumb for using this doe bleat call?

I've used the Lil Can during pre rut and rut and had deer come in to it. I hit it about 5-10 times back to back every 1 hour. That has given me some success.

Make sure to keep the hole at the bottom open for unwanted noise..
I use a piece of electricians tape on the bottom.I keep it to the side when i want it quiet and put it over the hole when i want to use it..
I have called a doe to me using this call. It works..

Turn it about 10 to 15 times every 5 to 10 minutes and you might get a coyote or bobcat. My buddy had a yote nearly run slap over him doing this and I got to watch the whole thing from a distance. It was hilarious. The yote must have thought it was a fawn in distress.

I used it last year and it really worked for me.A lot of the time I leave it right in my pocket and roll it.That way I don't have to move quick to try and put it someplace when the bucks come charging in.
