Gents:
I am a target rifle shooter so, please forgive my lack of knowledge on the subject. I have a tuning problem. When I get my rest lined up for center shot with my tru-gauge, the bare shaft is OK. However, the vanes are large on the arrow, and no way they will clear. I have a few 'degrees' I may be able to minimize the problem, but probably not be able to totally eliminate the touch. Will this work? My bow is ancient, is it possible it was designed for fingers only and not a release? (Bear, Black Mag) Thanks

feathers

unless I miss my guess this bow doesn't have a cut out riser and your broadhead has to remain in front of the riser in order to be shot. if this is true you really need to shoot feathers so they will fold as the are shot and arrow flight will not be affected, or shoot smaller vanes which is really not ideal for shooting broadheads
