Wondering what other people are getting out of their Protec. I'm not a ''speed freak'' but I'm shooting 244 with a 434 grain arrow @ 66lbs with a 29.5 draw. It's a little disconcerting to me. I was hoping for mid 260.

Does seem a little slow to me also. I had an 05 protec last year. xt 2000 limbs, regular cam 1/2, 452x stone mountain strings with tubeless peep, d-loop, and cat whiskers. I was getting 262 fps with a 488 grain arrow at 70 lbs and 30" draw.

i am shooting a 29.5 spiral cam at 60 lbs off of my protec.with a 400+ arrow and getting 265fps.

Proelite spirels, XT2000, 31in draw 62lb. 316g.arrow =314fps.

05 protec 3000 limbs cam and 1/2 at 70 lbs and 32~33 dl(sorry i'm 6'6") arrows are full length ultralight 22 series from goldtip right at 5 grains/lb pull. Clock it about 2 weeks ago when I converted to these arrows at 318.

Probably not a fair comparison due to drawlength and arrows.

I am going to the shop to try and tweak it some. I am trying not to think that it's the WB, couldn't slow it down that much, otherwise nobody would use them. I'm going to try putting a dropaway to see if that helps.

Any of the tuning gurus have anything to add?

XT2000 with regular cam 1/2???

also, what do you have on the string as for as cat whiskers, brass nocks, peep, etc.....

at the bow shop they found 1-2fps difference at most b/n the biscuit and a drop away....

my 05 Protec w/spirals shoots 300fps @60# with 300gr arrow, shoots 276fps with 380gr hunting arrow.
