Does anybody know what the draw length range is on an older (1997) PSE Maxi cam with T8 marked on it is? Currently I have it set at 29, but wondering what the range of adjustment is. I know I could press, adjust and measure, but figured I would see if anybody knew first.
Thanks in advance

I beleive the older Maxis style cams have no modules on them, therefore you can not adjust the draw length, you have to buy new cams and I beleive the lower the number on the cam the shorter the draw!. Hope this helps

That cam looks newer than the maxis cams I have on my old PSE!, and yes you can adjust the DL on that cam, you will need to press the bow and just move the string into a different groove on the cam, each one of those grooves is about a 1/2" in DL, the grooves theat go right will increase the length and the ones that go left will decrease it, so if you need your bow a shorter length you only have one notch to go!!.

Appears to be a vector 5 eccentric. I believe the 8 should designate a 28" in the middle postion on most bows that year. 1" up or down.

Vector five...

I'm not a expert, but they look alot like the Vector 4 cams I have on my PSE. So, I would be inclined to think they would be Vector 5 cams also...

looking at the picture the cam is set 1/2 shorter than what would be marked on the bow.if the label reads 29" you have it set at 28.5 the center slot is always the factory setting and can be adjusted up or down 1 inch in half inch increments.

Plus/minus 1" as dtrkyman says, but you can actually adjust in 1/4" increments by moving the string up/down one slot on ONE CAM ONLY. If you do have the string in different slots on each cam, it does of course move your nocking point/peep up or down, which is a pain, but it's a good feature if you want to fine-tune the DL.

I don't think these are Vector 5s - they had a flat draw stop on the cable side, which I can't see in the pic. So if they're 65% they're Vector 3s, and if they're 75% (maybe 80%?) they're Vector 4s.

As to what the DL is on a #8 cam - it depends on the bow model's ATA and BH.

Looks more like a Synergy Cam to me. I have Maxis HL cams on my Mach 8, they have 1/4" adjustment. They are #8 Cams and are 30" draw. I had Synergy cams on my old Dominator, they were marked #8, it was 30" draw also. Purchased a set of Maxis cams for my old Dominator (the original Maxis cams had no adjustment, but the HL Maxis had an inch of adjustment), they were marked #8 and were 30" draw, also the Maxis HL cams that I replaced them with were marked #8.
