Hey guys,

I got a pretty good buck yesterday on the opening day here in Washington. The buck is in full velvet. However, I'm pretty sure the velvet is already dried because about half the bucks we saw had already scraped their velvet. My question is: I shot the buck yesterday. I chopped the head off below the jaw line. Right now, it is in a cool, dark room, free of flies. Will it be okay if I wait till tomorrow to get it to the taxidermist. I have to work this evening and the place is about 1.25 hours away. I do not have a big enough freezer to put the buck into.

Thanks for any help,
Cope

Should be good. Euro mount is pretty simple. I do about 40 a year for folks. If you need any help, PM me. As being ok until tomorrow, you should be good.
