A friend of mine did not load an arrow in the correct way and that resulted in a partial dry fire of his bow. The only damage that I noticed was the string popped off. I just pressed his bow and re-installed the string but I also noticed there is no cable slide on the cables. It almost looks like the cables run on a piece of rubber. Is this normal or did the slide fly off during the dry fire? Thanks

Good thing I looked because they look bent in while on the bow. I will pull them but it's not looking good.

With care, the axles can be straightened. There is more chance of damaged cam bearings.
My Barnett Ghost 410's came with poor quality bearings like one uses in remote toys. These
bearings had over size axle holes and some did not have any grease. Ordering new bearings,
which Barnett did not sell separately at the time, I had to purchase cams with the bearings
installed. These bearings had the same over size axle hole. My thought here is if the bearings
were imported, the measurement conversion was wrong. I replaced the bearings with a one
piece bushing that gives full support to the axle. No more problem.
All the best.

Ok thanks for all the tips here. I will remove the string and cables and check things out. The only Barnett dealer in my area is Dicks sporting goods and I hope they order the correct parts when the time comes. I know dealing with these box stores can be difficult.

Ok I removed the harness and relaxed the bow. I had to actually remove the limbs from the pockets to pull them off the axle. Now I was left with the cams with the axle still inside. They were bent bad lol. Its going to take some careful hammering to get them out. Thanks for all the help.

I got the axles out and they have a good bend in them. I will definitely replace them and not straighten them. Looking at the cams with the naked eye they look ok but I will inspect them with straight edge and lay them on a flat surface. I have been trying to get customer service on the phone with no luck. I get disconnected right away. Thanks for all the help so far.

Well I got a hold of Barnett customer service and they were a pleasure to deal with. I told them it was a dry fire and they are sending the axles at no charge!! A big thanks to Barnett.
