Ive got a cheap recurve and want to get it ready for some woods walking. I need a 4 arrow quiver to attach to the riser. Any recommendations for a "bang for the buck" quiver?

I recommend the thunderhorn boa. You can really strap that thing down to the bow. Even empty it doesn’t move around. They have a couple different models. I went with the plain all black hood with no leather cover. Since it uses the boa straps you can take it off quickly.

I have 2 of them, straps split at the holes eventually. And the straps stretch over time. I had to take the straps out and make my own from velcro, they held up. The way Eagle's Flight makes the straps is a lot more secure and resilient and better fits more limb fade geometries. Boa didn't fit one of my longbows at all.

Everything else about the Boa's are pretty good. Rugged. Arrow grippers are good.

For a riser mounted, I’d suggest a TreeLimb Standard (you can shop around for these and get them for $35-$40). I used to suggest Kwikee until they went out of business.

The only potential issue with any riser mounted quivers is that they are more geared to shorter/smaller heads used with compounds.

If you wanted a limb mounted option, then the best bang for the buck would be a plastic Selway slide-on (~$60). They will for sure hold just about any broadhead you put in them, secure, and not to hard on the wallet.
