Has anyone shot or had any experience with the Ramcat line of Broadheads?

I have shot them and tested them and they fly like darts out past 80 yards. Pretty cool head it i do say so myself. the blades are sharp on both sides so if you happen to not get a pass through they cut their way back out. i saw a pic of a pig someone killed with a ramcat that didnt get a pass through............ looked like someone put a hand grenade in the chest cavity..

Seem to be an interesting head. I have played with them a bit...look good so far.

have a bunch of people shooting them havent had any complaints . i shot them last year and im planning on shooting them this year . was able to shoot a 6 arrow under 2 inch group at 38 yards with them at 340 fps out of my destroyer with the hooter shooter .

Ramcats are a great boadhead that fly great. The guys that I hunt with and myself have taken some nice deer with this broadhead.
Awesome bloodtrails. Give them a try and you will like them. The biggest thing with the Ramcat is getting a quiver that they fit inside without ends bending the ends of the blades over. The G5 quiver works great!

I started using ramcats last year. I had been using grim reapers (great broadhead but I prefer a fixed blade) I shoot a PSE X-Force TreeStand at 70# with HT-2 arrows at 307FPS. I can tell you that they fly IDENTICAL to my field points. It's the only fixed blade I could find that would. A buddy I hunt with is using them with his crossbow shooting around 370 FPS (Sorry I don't remember his set up just the speed) and they fly great at that speed too. As for a wound and blood trail... If you make the shot, they will give you a river to follow.

They fly great, 125 grain head coming this summer June or July. They are legal in NY (not barbed) the fold back when pulled out of a target.

That was my question, when practice shooting into a layered foam BH target, how bad do the blade tracks get jammed up with debris? Thanks.

excellent broadhead....i know Brett(owner) and he did a demo at my local shop and they out penetrated every broadhead out there. Rage, Grimreaper, slick trick, muzzy you name it, the Ram Cat broadhead was far superior. They fly like field tips and they are accurate as hell. Ill be shooting them from now on.

I only practiced with one day. After having to re-fletch all of my arrows (they were grouping so tight I was cutting vanes off) I was satisfied that they flew like Field Points. I just always pushed them the rest of the way through. Out to 60 yards the broad head was coming out the back side. I was shooting into a small block target.

I used one for the first time this past Feburary in Texas on Buffalo, I wanted to use a fixed head and read on these and gave them the vote.

On that morning I had sat up an ambush on them as they were too skitish to stalk, when the large bull game through he was mixed in with others so I had to move past the tree to shoot, thats when they freaked and i shot him at 25 yds half trotting a little far back, but the arrow went completely through. He ran out to 50 and the second arrow quartering in slammed all the way to the fletching and put him down. Yea the blood was good but i was more amazed on the penetration of these especially when you skin one and see how tough the hide is and the 2 x 4 rib bones. You can see a pic of him on our Lynch Mob Calls Inc Face Book hanging from the front end loader. The size of these animals is humbling.

Quiver with large enough hood is a problem. We use the PSE 4 arrow quiver. More than enough room in hood.

Going to try the new 125 gr. - 1.5".

The only problem i had with the BH is that when i received them, they were not as sharp as my muzzy's or slick tricks that i was trying out? So i shot one at a target and flew great, same as my field points which was wonderful.. But stuck with the slick tricks until i can figure out a way to sharpen these really well so they are sharper than anything ive had before. anyone else had this problem or have a recommendation on how to get these bad boys sharper. i know there are cheap portable sharpeners but id rather not ruin the head by using something that doesnt work? So what do you guys use for sharpening your broad heads?

What HC Archery stated. They do not fit in many quiver hoods. I use Fuse and they do not fit in the hood.

Great head. My only issue was a few practice shots would loosen up the blades to the point where the screws fell out. Now I put a dab of blue locktite on them out of the package. Problem solved.

Ditto. I did use string wax though. Not a biggee.... but you simply gotta check those blade screws.

Other factor.... blade on inside hitting riser. Either cut your arrows a good 1/2" outside riser.... or use like NAP broadhead o'rings.
Those allow you to turn the head slightly to get blade away from riser. Best is to have the outside blade sticking straight out to side. Away from bow of course.

This is the way they were designed. Upon impact they loosen up just enough to allow the blades to move forward if they need to cut their way back out.
