Rangefinder red display?

I bought and returned a sig kilo 1600bdx. The red display didn't work well when it was sunny out. It was way to dim. Tried new batteries. I'm colorblind if that factors in. I gave my other sig kilo with black to my Dad. Is there a red display rangefinder that's really bright on sunny days. For Spot n stalk bowhunting.
Thanks

I have a Kilo1600BDX. You can adjust the brightness manually instead of using the autobrightness function for the LED display.

If you already tried that then it might be because of your color blindness that you were having trouble seeing the display. Having tried looking through any red dot sights that have a red and green display to see if green is better?

Vortex Ranger 1800 has a bright red display. Actually opening weekend was the first time I used it hunting and it was too bright. I had it turned all the way up and it had a starburst effect so I couldn’t see exactly what I was aiming at. I turned it down a bit and good to go. I was actually surprised at how well it was able to range through very small openings between limbs.

Glad I could help, LOL.

@deadquiet, that's why I ultimately chose to go with the Sig Kilo1600BDX over the Kilo1400BDX. The 1400 was right in my price range and everything I could ask for. At first I didn't think the $50 extra to go to the 1600 was worth it for a couple hundred extra yards of reflective range and 100 extra yards for non-reflective targets. But then I found out the 1600 had the red LED display that was auto dimming or adjustable (as @willowhunt recently found out :) ). So to me it was well worth the $50 to have the red LED display because even though I don't hunt at night, I do tend to run into critters in dimly lit times like sunrise or sundown. Also in shady timber or black backgrounds the lit up display helps a ton.
