I love mine. I got it at Wally world years ago and its held up great. Its vented to keep stable with the gusts of wind. . Comes with a pouch to put it in. It is a bit noisy in a steady downpour. I'll see if I can find the brand on it somewhere.
the dicks branded one (comfort zone) is better than the others i've seen. the rod that you screw in has a T handle that is easier to grip and get started in the tree. some of the cheap ones like the allen one have a round plastic hub that you have to try and get a grip on while screwing it in.
I hope your right. I just bought one last night at Dicks. Lots of rain chances in the forecast the next 10 days while I am on vacation.
If it doesn't work great I'm only out $20. I figured its worth a try.
I don't hunt from a tree stand but one of my fav pieces of gear is my snow peak ultralight umbrella. Packs down next to nothing and gets the job done when it rains. I can slide it between my backpack and my back when it is deployed and it's like an umbrella hat. It is always the first item that goes in my pack.
Hunters roof by triple crown outdoors. It has a bracket that attaches to the tree. No plastic knob, no screwing in tree. The one I use was bought in 2013. Best I’ve had. The company may have sold out. Try active outdoors llc.
