I had an arrow nocked when the below pic happened. It missed my target and went through my wife's Christmas decorations. My hand got pretty banged up. I had used it about 20x prior with no issue.
These seem super diesel as well.
To the OP, do NOT trust your bow to a flimsy piece of garbage that costs the same.
Also, put a catch rope on so that if your d loop fails your bow will not dry fire.
If you do not have a draw board or cannot or will not make one, then you don't really need a bow scale either.

I didn't either. I am liking the crane scale that raisins recommended. The price is good and it could end up saving me money in the long run...wow, had no idea so many people had issues with these.
I recall a post here a month ago with one destroyed upon pull. Not trusting these anymore. Before I would have recommended the HS3, but it blew up on me today.
I have a BTM press I have set up vertically, but would like to see a photo of your setup.....if you please. My scale is an AWS-330, which has been pretty good for a while.Nice. You'll love it. I've been drinking beers and also I just hate these cheap scales...so I apologize for getting overly passionate!
I don't even use the metal hookups they supply. Just heavy rope loops through both sides hooked up to the draw board parts and d loop using metal screw quick links. This allows rotation so that derails are minimized.
