Hey everyone, I've been looking at grabbing a recurve bow for around 3 years now just for target shooting out in the woods and I'm not sure where to start. Normally I would head out to a store or just research some stuff but there is an absurd amount of bows out there and there's no shops near me (unless I cross the border to the U.S... which brings about border fees for importing) unless I drive out two hours.

At last, I've finally got some spare change, which rarely happens since I'm in university, and would like to finally grab a bow for my upcoming birthday. Any suggestions/tips/tricks I should know? From what I've read people generally recommend buying a low draw weight bow and then upgrade in a year or so after you learn technique... however I simply don't have the funds or the means to grab new ones all the time. I am willing to spend quite a bit on a bow that I can grow into and use for a long time, if at all possible.

Any advice is greatly welcomed, thanks!
