Hey guys, so I just bought a Mathews vertix and a Redline rl-2.
The issue I'm having I've got the sight wheel all the way to the top and the housing as low as it will go, but it is still shooting way low.
Does anyone have any experience with these sights?

Pictures would help....

Questions:

1) How low is "way low" and at what distance.?

2) Have you turned the elevation wheel to get the pin low enough to hit at 20yds?

3) Have you had similar problems with other single pin sights?

4) Have you had similar problems with multipin sights? As in do you always end up with using all of your elevation adjustments just to hit at 20???

Move the sight wheel down. You don’t have to have the sight maxed to the top. That goes for most sights.

So I am having the same issue. I really want to like the site. But when I can remedy this problem on a cbe tactic hybrid 3 pin and kit this site it really is deflating. I will post pics. I’m sighted in at 20 and I have to dial the site about 40% down with the housing bottomed out to be able to hit. It will be leaving me lucky to get more the 65-70 yards out of the bow. Just for clarification the pointer and the mark are the 20 yard mark. Had to do it this way because I need to know where that stop is before I can continue. Honestly , u less I am missing some sort of adjustment, ill just get rid of it and go back to a cbe with the extra adjustment. It’s a really nice site and looks great on the bow. Not being able to use a positive stop as advertised is a deal breaker.

You are confusing everyone chiming in on the OP's post... he stated he has a Vertix...and before you know it, we are looking at a Bowtech!!!

My question about his peep was to him (OP)... and you will be surprised how many people get a used bow and it has a peep in it, is not right. Given the fact he mentioned a Vertix and I know of none laying around new.

If your peep is set correctly, bow tuned and you can’t (or don’t want to) move the sight lower, your options are to move the sight pin housing closer to the riser, increase draw weight or decrease arrow weight. You’ll have to retune if you change the latter two. Good luck!

Your looking at a Bowtech because the op and myself have the same issue with the site. And with his response we now know that his peep and my peep are set to the user and not some pawn shop bow . The op never got an answer to his question so I thought I would chime in with the same issue .. Still not getting much of an answer other than deal with it or pull 75 with a light ass arrow. The main question was or is , are we missing some type of adjustment to get that housing lower than the single adjustment that we can obviously see. I have no issues achieving what I am after with a black gold or even a cheap tactic hybrid 3 pin. Seems like they missed on the sight to me with the last of that one piece of adjustability. Other than that i really like the sight and the color scheme matches really well. If that floater only gives you an extra 20, then what’s the point ? I’ll reach out to redline again to try and get an answer since I have pics. If there is. It a remedy then I’ll just sell it and get something I know works for me.

The sight will not mount any closer to the riser without using the higher mounting holes. Seems to negate that option altogether, the pull is 67lbs and 28” draw wit a relatively light arrow at 420 gr.

See thats what I'm wondering too, is there something we are missing? Cause my housing is bottomed out and there are only one set of mounting holes that this will fit on on a vertix. I'm looking to maybe switch to a black gold or fast eddie because of this
